We will match you with a resume writer who has a background that’s best suited to your experience.

I'm not based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

No problem. Our resume writers can work with you if you’re based anywhere in Australia. All consultations are done via phone/Skype and all documents are delivered via email.

How does the 60-day, 100% guarantee work?

The guarantee gives you complete peace of mind. If you do not get satisfactory responses from recruiters within 60 days of receiving your resume, we will rewrite it – free of charge. (You must notify us in writing within 60 days of receiving your final draft).

Who will be writing my resume? Can I speak with them?

Absolutely. Your resume writer will be an Australian or a New Zealand (yes, there’s one Kiwi on the team) professional, trained from the ground-up in our proprietary resume writing method, plus a background in either career mentoring, recruitment or HR. Your assigned resume writer will be contactable via email and phone during regular Australian business hours.

Will I be able to edit my resume in the future?

Yes. We understand the importance of keeping your resume up-to-date. We deliver your final documents in Microsoft Word format, which gives you the freedom to make unlimited future edits.

Who are your resume writing services best suited for?

We specialise in writing resumes for mid-career professionals and mid-level managers.

What the heck is keyword optimisation?

Recruiters and hiring managers tend to skim-read resumes, searching for specific keywords to assess role fit. Only once that’s been established, they’ll invest more time in a more thorough analysis of your resume.

This makes the subtle addition of job-specific keywords into your resume crucial. However, this must be done artfully and skillfully, as oversaturation with keywords will result in a resume that sounds clinical and generic.

About Our Process:

How do I get started?

You can book by choosing a package on the “Pricing” section of our website and following the prompts to checkout. Your resume writer will reach out to you within 24 business hours (but likely within just a few).

I need a resume urgently.

This isn’t always possible, but we will do our best to accommodate you. If you have an urgent need, please call us on (03) 8686 9181 before you place your order and let us know what the submission deadline is. If we can make it happen, we will.

How much does it cost to have my resume professionally written?

Our prices range between approximately $600 and $1000.

Do I need to travel to your office?

Not at all. For your convenience and to ensure minimal disruption to your schedule, your Strategy Consultation will be held via phone or Skype, and your documents will be delivered via email.

Why do you include ATS testing in your packages?

Approximately 85% of companies use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to screen resumes. While ATS have improved over the years, they, unfortunately, are still known for rejecting resumes of perfectly qualified candidates.

We maximise the chances of your resume passing ATS tests by scanning it with an industry-standard ATS tool prior to delivery.

Resume vs CV: Is there a difference?

In Australia and parts of Europe, words “CV” and “resume” are often used interchangeably. In these regions, documents typically go into more detail than they do in North America.

In the UK, the word “CV” is preferred, and the documents are more in line with the Australian and European standard, usually spanning 2 pages. In the US and Canada, a “resume” is a standard for job applications. This is usually a 1-page document.

About Choosing A Resume Writer:

How do I find a good resume writer?

This is tricky. The resume writing industry is unregulated. Skill levels of individual writers vary greatly and often do not correlate with credentials and years of experience. Some of the worst resumes we’ve seen have been written by so-called “award-winning” veteran resume writers.

Worst of all, the competition among resume writers is fierce. To survive, mediocre resume mills rip off web copy of premium providers. In doing so, they make bold promises in their marketing but – sadly – fail to deliver good documents at crunch time.

How do you spot a dodgy resume mill?

The #1 giveaway is a “free” resume review. Just upload your current resume and receive honest feedback, they say. Their ability to critique has no correlation with their ability to write. Sure, they’ll rip your existing resume to shreds, but will then sell you a facelifted, reworded version of the same.

Another danger sign is an excess of hyperbole in their own marketing. Everything to them is “top-tier”, “#1”, “premium”, “bespoke”, “elite” and so on. This occurs because they have no commercial chops; their only option is to rely on buzzwords as a crutch.

By the way, they’ll do the same thing to your resume. If you don’t want to be described as an “outstanding, tenacious, energetic, hard-working leader with extensive experience”, stay away.

We recommend that you shortlist 2-3 resume writing companies and speak with their representatives. Ask them tough questions, like “how do you articulate someone’s value proposition?” and “how do you ensure it’s different to that of other candidates with a similar background to mine?”.

Listen to the quality of their responses. Read between the lines.

Are they rattling off cliches and buzzwords, or are they acting as a strategist in your corner? Do they understand the commercial realities of your career?

Listen to your gut.

Is it worth paying a resume writer?

Yes. A good resume writer can help you shave weeks off your job search, saving you thousands of dollars in lost salary.

I am being recommended as one of the applicants for consideration for the CEO role. Of the 100 candidates, 11 were interviewed. The resume you did for me was fantastic. I referred to it a lot during the interview and it gave me a lot of confidence.
